KNR Jewellery is BARKING MAD! Our new charity link

Dogs for the DisabledFollowing the successful links made with our other local charities, Helen and Douglas House in Oxford and Oxfordshire SANDS, KNR Jewellery is also proud to announce our latest charity link…Dogs for Disabled.

Dogs for the Disabled is a life-transforming charity, creating exceptional partnerships between people living with disability and specially trained assistance dogs.

Through practical assistance a dog can offer freedom and independence to children and adults with physical disabilities and children with autism.

In addition an assistance dog becomes a reason to go out, giving a new found confidence that opens doors to fresh opportunities including friendships, hobbies, education and even careers. The partnerships they create between people with disabilities and dogs are life-changing.

10% of all orders placed with KNR Jewellery, as a result of hearing from us through Dogs for Disabled, is donated back to the charity. Likewise, our 10% donations continue with Helen and Douglas House and Oxfordshire SANDS.

Helen & Douglas House has the time and expertise to care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions and support their families. The two hospice houses offer specialist symptom and pain management, medically-supported short breaks and end-of-life care, as well as counselling and practical support for the whole family. Helen House was opened in 1982 as the world’s first children’s hospice and is currently undergoing a refurbishment, due to reopen later this year. Douglas House opened in 2004 specifically for young adults aged 16-35.

Oxfordshire SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity) is an amazing charity supporting anyone in Oxfordshire affected by the tragic death of a baby and supporting research into why 17 babies die every day in the UK. The money we raise will go towards a resuscitation unit for our very own Horton Hospital and Oxford’s JR hospital, as well as antenatal equipment, midwife trading and support for parents.

In the last few months KNR Jewellery has donated over £700 to these local charities. And long may it continue!

If you have heard of KNR Jewellery through one of these charities, and would like 10% of your order to be donated back to them, please let us know at the time of ordering.
